Tommy Thompson painted this landscape while visiting at the pastoral farm of Andy and Judith Anderson in Franklin, TN. He was painting en plein air with his daughter, Michelle Rideout, and friends, George Walker and Mimi Sammis. To add life to the landscape, the painter added a figure raking leaves. This scene was captured one fine autumn day. Making it even more pleasurable was the opportunity to paint with fine friends, who enjoy working in watercolor and oil. Ms. Sammis serves the art community by passing on her love of art and her painting skills through her PBS television program, "Mimi's Art Studio."
